Seattle Teacher Residency Online Info Session

The Seattle Teacher Residency is a rigorous, intensive, graduate program specifically designed to prepare teachers for Seattle Public Schools.  Residents spend an academic school year alongside a mentor teacher in a K-5 high-needs classroom in SPS.  There is a 5 year teaching commitment to the school district after the residency year.

STR Residents receive a financial stipend, Masters in Teaching (MiT) degree, state teacher certification with dual endorsement, and priority hiring in SPS.

Join us during this online information session to learn more details about the Seattle Teacher Residency.

The Seattle Teacher Residency program is a unique partnership between the UW College of Education, Seattle Public Schools, the Alliance for Education, and the Seattle Education Association.
